THCH: Powered by Hyde – Your Voice Matters
Since announcing our potential partnership with Hyde, we've been busy connecting with residents to hear their views. Last week, our Executive and Leadership Teams, along with Board Members, went door-to-door in some of our neighbourhoods, actively listening to residents' concerns and gathering feedback.
“Residents felt excited about the idea of having a dedicated in-house repairs team, increased investment in their homes, and better services overall. We understand the value of maintaining a strong local presence with neighbourhood teams who truly know the community—and that’s exactly what Hyde is bringing to the table.” — Anita Khan, THCH CEO
The partnership also aims to bring more funding to enhance community centres, give residents a stronger voice in decision-making, and the ability to develop new, affordable homes for local people.
However, some residents have expressed concerns over potential changes to rent and service charges. To reassure you, rent increases will continue to be tied to inflation and service charges will only reflect the actual cost of services provided.
We’ve also had some questions about how the partnership will meet the costs of the improvements we want to make for residents and communities. While we’re confident working with Hyde will help us achieve what residents have told us matters most, we’re currently conducting a thorough review, including independent checks, to ensure this partnership makes financial sense and that it can fulfil its commitments.

What this means for THCH residents
If the partnership goes ahead, we will remain your landlord with a dedicated local presence, and together with Hyde, we can make improvements faster.
Why we’ve chosen Hyde
Some residents have also shared that they are unfamiliar with the Hyde Group and how they align with us. Hyde has over 50 years of experience and currently manages around 44,000 homes. They focus on safety, efficiency, and making homes affordable, this is exactly what we want for our residents.
Have your say
Your voice matters. The consultation will run until 3 October, giving all residents a chance to share their thoughts. We encourage you to share how you’re feeling about the partnership.
