Governance & reports

Governance & reports

As a social housing provider, we're regulated by the government. This means we have to work with the Social Housing Regulator, as well as publish reports about how we operate, our finances and more. You can find all of these, as well as information on how we're regulated, on this page.

How we're regulated

We are a registered provider of social housing, which means we are regulated by the Regulator for Social Housing. This means we follow strict rules to ensure we provide safe, secure, and well-managed homes.

To meet these standards, we share information with the regulator, including financial and performance data, so they can be confident we are doing things the right way.

The Housing Ombudsman

The Housing Ombudsman Service is an independent organisation set up to make sure housing providers treat residents fairly. They review complaints and help resolve issues when things go wrong.

We are registered with the Housing Ombudsman and follow their complaints process. You can also check their website to see how we’ve performed in handling complaints.

Value for Money (VfM)

As a registered social housing provider, we are committed to making the best use of our resources to provide quality homes and services. We follow the Regulator for Social Housing's Value for Money Standard, ensuring that every pound we spend helps us meet our goals effectively. Our board members lead this work, supported by our executive and wider teams.

We are continuously improving how we deliver value for money (VFM). We embrace new ways to measure our performance, comparing ourselves to similar organisations through Housemark and the Sector Scorecard. As members of Placeshapers, a network of over 100 community-based housing providers, we ensure that our approach reflects the needs of the communities we serve.

Our VfM strategy

To continue improving, we are focused on:

  • Building a culture of efficiency – ensuring our teams always look for ways to provide great services at the best value.
  • Maximising income and managing costs – so we can reinvest in homes, services, and communities.
  • Using our assets wisely – making strategic decisions that support our long-term goals.
  • Listening to residents – prioritising resources based on customer feedback and needs.

By embedding these principles, we aim to deliver high-quality, affordable housing while ensuring every resource is used effectively. View our strategy below.
