Help if you’re experiencing domestic abuse

Help with domestic abuse

Domestic abuse can happen to anyone. It does not matter how old you are, your gender, your background, or if you have a disability. It can take many forms, including controlling or threatening behaviour, violence, or abuse between partners or family members.

If you, or someone in your area, is experiencing domestic abuse, we are here to help. We know it can be hard to ask for help but remember, you are not alone in this, and what is happening is not your fault.

We are committed to supporting you in a way that respects your unique situation. We will listen to you and help you find the support you need.

In an emergency always call the police (999)

You can reach out to places like the Citizens Advice Bureau, Shelter, or Rights of Women for help. Also, check if you can get legal aid to assist you.
