Frank Whipple Estate secures funding to upgrade heating network

We’re pleased to share that we have been awarded funding through the government’s Heat Network Efficiency Scheme (HNES) to improve the heat network at the Frank Whipple Estate, which supports 60 THCH customers.

This round of funding, the largest since HNES began, will help us upgrade the heating system improving energy performance and making heating more reliable. For customers, this means more consistent heating, a more comfortable living environment, and a more cost-effective energy system long term.

HNES is a government initiative delivered by Triple Point on behalf of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ). It’s designed to support housing providers and councils across England and Wales to improve the performance of existing heat networks—ensuring they’re running efficiently, reliably, and affordably.

The improvements at Frank Whipple are part of our wider focus on supporting residents with rising energy costs, tackling fuel poverty, and meeting our environmental responsibilities. By improving our infrastructure now, we’re helping to build a more resilient, sustainable future for everyone living in our homes.

We’ll be working closely with specialist partners to deliver these works with minimal disruption and will keep residents fully informed every step of the way.

This is a great step forward in improving the everyday experience of residents who rely on the network, and we’re proud to have secured this funding to make that happen. We will update residents at the Frank Whipple Estate when the heating upgrade projects have been planned.
