A message from our CEO, Anita Khan: UK Riots

The scenes we have witnessed on our streets over the past week have been deeply upsetting. Many of us have had to take measures to ensure the safety of our families and loved ones in ways we never imagined.

At THCH, we stand united with our communities, as allies and friends. We believe that diversity makes us stronger, and we will not tolerate racism or hatred in any form. Today, and every day, we must show solidarity and unity, and we must all take responsibility for creating a better and fairer world.

Amongst these distressing times, there is still hope. Many of you have seen the outpouring of support from wider communities, clearly stating that these riots do not represent everyone in our country. These messages are heartening and much needed. It is now more important than ever to talk to one another and find healing. The power of allyship should never be underestimated.

To those feeling fearful, you are not alone. Let's keep the conversation going and speak loudly about our values and our pride in this amazingly diverse city we all call home.

Stay safe and look out for each other.
